There had been some rumblings that the transfer of Folarin Balogun from AS Monaco to Everton was at risk over the last couple of hours, and now news has broken why.

French journalist Fabrice Hawkins is reporting that the USMNT international striker has actually failed his medical at Finch Farm, and now despite the two clubs being agreement over a transfer fee, the move could fall through.

It is going to come down to whether Everton feel the player is simply unfit after his summer’s exertions with the United States team at the World Cup as he is yet to feature this season for Monaco in Ligue 1, or that their club doctors found some other underlying medical issues that will give them pause for concern.

Especially after David Moyes’ update that summer signing Christian Norgaard is not near a return and seems to have taken a turn for the worse, it is understandable that the club are erring on the side of caution. Does this mean the Blues will not leave Iliman Ndiaye leave?
