Bobcats were coming off a 40-35 week two loss in which they played catchup the whole game and looked to rebound tonight. Bobcats took on the Cougars for the 53rd all time meeting between these two schools, dating back to 1961, Central holding the overall record of 29-22-1.

Tonight, Mark Smith faced his former school and got to work immediately. An opening drive touchdown for the Bobcats kicked this one off. The Cats would go into halftime a tad later than expected due to the weather delay in the 2nd quarter but would hold a 21-14 lead doing so.

Bobcats found themselves down 28-21 on the final drive with a chance to pull this one even and would fall short giving the Cougars the ball back with 30 seconds to go and the win to spoil the Cats Homecoming night.

Central moves to 1-2 on the season in non-district play and hit the road again next week vs El Paso Montwood.
