The New York Giants finally have some positive injury news after what turned into a nightmare 24-48 hours for them following Monday Night Football.

Jaxson Dart is done for the season after suffering a serious knee injury against the Los Angeles Rams, while Malik Nabers and Brian Burns are both dealing with injuries of their own.
Giants LT Andrew Thomas’ groin/adductor injury that he suffered Monday night vs. the Rams is not considered serious and he has a chance to return Sunday vs. the Titans, per source.

Now, however, the Giants have reason to feel better about the status of one of their most important players.

Andrew Thomas has chance to return Sunday

That is significant news for a Giants offense that suddenly has plenty of uncertainty surrounding it.
Thomas exited Monday’s 28-6 loss in the fourth quarter after suffering the injury. He had been able to play almost the entire game before leaving, and the Giants initially listed him as questionable to return.
With Jameis Winston now expected to take over for Dart, keeping Thomas on the offensive line would give the Giants some much-needed stability. Winston struggled after entering Monday’s game, completing 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards and an interception while taking two sacks.

Dart’s season-ending knee injury was officially confirmed Wednesday after further evaluations revealed damage to his MCL, PCL and meniscus. He will undergo surgery, ending what had been an extremely promising start to his second NFL season.
The Giants are also waiting for more information on Nabers, who suffered a shoulder injury Monday but was able to return to the game. Burns suffered a low ankle sprain and is also awaiting a clearer timetable.
That makes Thomas’ update particularly important.
If the Giants can get their starting left tackle back against Tennessee, it would at least prevent another major hole from opening up on offense. After losing their starting quarterback for the season, New York will need as much stability as possible around Winston heading into Week 3.
